I don't know about you, but it is so easy to get into a snack rut. Same snacks, day after day. It's even easier to reach for a candy bar or another cup of coffee during that afternoon post-lunch slump.
Now that it's September and school has started back up and we're entering fall, it's a great time to try new things. With The Healthy Snacks Challenge launching in just ten days, I wondered what other people are snacking on.
I asked 24 top healthy living, food, and lifestyle bloggers, podcasters, and social media pros the question:

I'd have to say that my favorite healthy snack right now is anything that includes peanut butter! Peanut butter with apples or bananas, peanut butter on rice cakes, even peanut butter on a spoon (sometimes with chocolate chips!). It's quick and easy, which is what I need since I've been home with two kiddos all summer.

My favorite healthy snack right now is totally boring but so easy - hard boiled eggs! I love putting some pink salt and pepper on them. Such a great source of protein and healthy fats that I can struggle to get in as a vegetarian.

My current favorite snack is Siggi's yogurt! They make so many different flavors, and I love that they are made from grass-fed milk, have simple ingredients, are protein-heavy, and not very high in sugar. The pumpkin is delicious!

I'm not much of a snacker, but when I do here's my go-to: Organic popcorn (bought from bulk), popped in a pot on the stove in grapeseed oil and topped with a little melted grass-fed butter.

Here's my current favorite afternoon snack for when I need a little protein in the afternoon: frozen, pre-shelled edamame makes a quick snack and a little salt spices it up! It's a lot more satisfying than I expected, almost like a mini-meal instead of a snack!

My current healthy snack is popcorn. We use a Whirley-Pop on the stovetop to make a bunch of popcorn at once with just a little oil. Sometimes I leave it totally plain, other times I add hot sauce, shredded cheese, seasoning salt, Old Bay seasoning or salt and pepper.
